I am creating a series of “picture poem” posts…sections of my “Sky Paintings”, which I have been sharing on Facebook.

Sky Paintings 7: Glendora Fire 2014

The sky became very eerie.  I was teaching in Lawndale that morning, and marveled at the other-worldliness of this strange “back-lit” sky which seemed to be hanging low under heavy yellowish clouds…with the glowing disc of the sun shining through.
